Citron Lit is an international youth-run literary magazine dedicated to the literature of self-determination.

We provide a platform for marginalized communities and those from the global diaspora.

In botany, the citron is known for its protective rind. It does not crush under pressure, and it does not rot easily when uprooted. We couldn't help but see this as a metaphor for strength, but also for the bitter fragrance that comes with the citron.

Our platform aims to publish visceral poetry, prose, photography, and art that captures the ugly and the grotesque, and the gorgeous and luminescent all at once.
